I have a real love for bringing the outside in and these 10 leaf crochet patterns can help us do just that.

Which Yarns to Choose for Leaf Patterns
The best yarn to use for making leaves is cotton not only because it is plant based but it also gives a more realistic feel to the leaves. The yarn is heavier and so it means they will hang more realistically.
Cotton is also great for longevity when it comes to washing. It is a natural fibre but also hard wearing, so if you plan on washing your decorative leaves then cotton is your best bet.
You could also use linen which would give the finished leaves a lovely natural sheen.
Which Cotton Yarns Are Best?
Which cotton yarns are good to use and eco friendly? Is standard cotton ok? It depends.
If you already have cotton yarn in your stash, then use it up. Make sure you don’t leave it sat there waiting to be used. As long as it is 100% cotton you’re good to go.
If you need to buy some cotton yarn for one of these leaf crochet patterns then, if you can, choose recycled or organic cotton to help the environment a little bit more. If you can’t, don’t worry, use what you have or buy a cotton yarn from your local yarn shop.
